VROOM was borne out of the need to create an e-healing up designed with the South African context in mind. For example, South African automobile insurance premiums are more expensive than elsewhere in the world due to issues with our infrastructure and crime rate. This fact however is not factored into most e-hailing revenue models making it hard for drivers to earn a sustainable income, in turn inflating the average fair price to passengers.

The VROOM model takes all factors unique to South Africa into account. Our model as such has been developed to provide drivers with more income per ride while offering passengers competitve fares.

VROOM will initially only be available in Gauteng (Johannesburg and Pretoria) with rollouts to Durban and Cape Town planned soon thereafter including other major metropolitan areas.
